Lots of bugs while opening any apps from the home screen. They just CLOSE right after popping up. And I have to click on the app AGAIN to open it properly. Been having this with all the apps on the home screen it’s downright annoying now.

Rolling back the update now 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

son_raghu Yeah, the animations are messed up in 0.5X speed, Make sure switch to 1X from Developer settings.

Spark Hey that worked! Thank you so much. Still I can see minor jutters but not much of an issue. Hope they can fix for the 0.5x speed as well on the next update.

All I really wanted was a proper camera update and preset on top of the underwhelming camera. The Nothing Phone (2) was once considered a flagship but lately it feels like we’re constantly being teased and left behind. As much as I love Nothing, I’ve made up my mind. I’m switching to Oppo Find X8 Ultra.

OBiW4NSHiNOBi surprisingly my phone didn’t pop up any other notification either. Maybe the developer option is actually working. Whatever it is, thank God 😂 Never updating henceforth. I’m happy with 7-8hrs SOT from 90%. No lag anywhere. Happy happy.

How can I hide system apps in the app drawer? There is so much useless clutter in my app drawer now because I can not put certain google and system apps in the hidden apps. This “private space” is useless for me and brings more problems…

gingerbread don’t forget to go to developer options and disable automatic updates. If you don’t do that, it’ll again automatically install the update 😂

anyone has issues with apps that stay in ram?

if an app goes in the background for more than 15-20 seconds, after i try to access it again it’s first being killed and launched again.

quite annoying and i am curious if anyone else experiences this?

I’ve seen this only after this update.

LE: Seems like the problems is related to having the animations set to 0.5. Very annoying given this is how I’ve been using all my phones for the past 8 years.

It seems like Nothing is taking a page out of Apple’s playbook. Every time a new phone is about to launch, the performance of the older models mysteriously starts to degrade. Ever since I updated my Nothing Phone 2 with the latest update in May 2025, it has become incredibly slow—almost unusable. It feels like the phone has been rendered completely useless.
