Personally, I can understand why they would move on from the Glyphs (though I do like them).
My issue is that they have recently released products that people like and use Glyphs. Using the language “We killed the Glyph Interface” makes the recently released products appear obsolete and implies that nothing thinks they are no longer fit for purpose, which could ultimately affect sales of the products.
Now, I do believe this post is mainly to grab as much attention as possible and will be followed up with more context ie - we killed the Glyph Interface for the dot matrix etc and I have a feeling Gylphs will live on in ‘a models’ (I hope they do) but I wouldn’t have gone so strong with the wording unless they are going to follow it up reasonably quickly with more details.. Time will tell!
