I liked Glyphs (and still do), but honestly it didn’t turn out to be as useful as it was promised. I remember a tweet from Carl saying “people think it’s just a phone with lights”.. but it’s been exactly that after 3 years. When they opened the Glyph APIs to developers, I thought now it’ll explode.. but nothing useful came out of it. Now it is just a nice thing to have, but we could totally do without.
They’re a young company and so allowed to make changes that may seem “pivotal” and I am hoping something better comes out of it.
As long as they don’t produce the boring slabs they criticized so much, bring it on baby!
