AshleyLobo I don’t think they can anything to fix it, it’s a software issue

Nothing is pushing updates to the camera, but I think they should prioritise UX more. Like I mentioned in my other post.

Fix the double tap issue on the lock screen, and have a disable function for the essentials space button, because I can’t put it in my car’s phone holder without triggering the damn feature.

bjgo78 software issue?idts there are sensors in this phone to detect depth of surfaces or texture. When i lay it down on a pillow or something soft like bed it won’t work.The min i take it in my hands it works same with the hard surfaces. I don’t really think this is a software issue. Sometimes it’s really irritating

I’m having a similar issue on my Nothing Phone 3a. The issue is odd, though. When the device is placed on a surface like a bed or a table, it does not recognize my index finger, but if I put my thumb upon the sensor, it instantly detects and unlocks the device. I’ve tried to reregister the fingerprint multiple times but it does not help. Also, as you mentioned already, if I pick up, it works flawlessly.

AshleyLobo keep your finger or thumb at 10′O’ Clock position it will work same issue i faced too

sougaaat I know I think it’s some hardware issue by their side like screen blocking the sensor or something like that

Maybe try to add 2 fingerprints of the same finger so that it can read better in different directons

I too am having problems with the finger print reader. Uninstalled 3 times and put back. Still hit and miss,? 3a pro

Nothing phone 3 a’s fingerprint sensor has a lot of bugs. If you look closely in the ss, I can’t register my fingerprint. This has been happening for past 2 days.
Fingerprint doesn’t work properly at most time even if registered.
Unable to delete existing fingerprints. This issue is resolved after restarting the device.
Fingerprint sensor doesn’t work on flat surfaces.

I’m waiting for a major update from nothing

I think service centre will just recommend to format the device

visit the service centre they changed the sensor in my phone it was the sensor issue .
