I am experiencing an issue with my Nothing Phone (2) after updating to the latest software version. I set up AppLocker and configured both a screen lock PIN and an AppLocker PIN for additional security. Initially, everything worked as expected, but after some time, I am unable to access my phone.
When attempting to unlock the phone, it prompts me to enter the screen lock PIN. However, even after entering the correct PIN, I receive the message: “For more security, enter PIN”. Additionally, Face Unlock no longer works, and I am continually asked to enter the PIN. After rebooting the phone, I am still required to enter the screen lock PIN, and I cannot access the device.
The most critical aspect of this issue is that I am concerned about losing my data. I do not have a backup and would prefer to avoid a factory reset if at all possible.
I am also curious if this issue could be related to a bug introduced with the recent update, especially regarding the dual password setup — one for the screen lock and another for AppLocker. This setup might be causing conflicts with the device’s security mechanism, leading to the issues I am facing.
Could you please assist me in regaining access to my phone without losing my data? If this is a known issue caused by the latest update, I would appreciate guidance on potential fixes or workarounds.
