Yes to be honest I feel Nothing can’t really keep up with the pace. Few reasons I feel is because instead of focusing on Software they are now more focused on making new phones (yes I agree this is good from business point of view) but Nothing completely forgot it’s software.
I am really disappointed, since I have a so called ‘Flagship’ phone (Nothing Phone 2).
Camera’s:
The Cameras are pure [redacted], and I mean it (when it was launched it was still good) right now I can’t even take out my phone out of my pocket and just click photos, its utter [redacted], even low end phones click better sometimes. Camera’s are just pure [redacted].
I don’t know how people click good pictures from it I really don’t get it because I have tried this but it’s it’s like a hit or miss thing (mostly miss). And you cannot expect everyone to adjust settings, time, brightness every single time especially from so called flagship phone, I expect it to be just take out my phone and just click the photos and the outcome should be good (atleast it should be most of the times).
Nothing Gallery:
Gallery the most demanded application from the community, 7 months as of now it’s nothing a but only a photo viewing application, like are you kidding me?. You cannot even set it default (as far I know even in the updates changelog they mentioned it but i still see people telling it’s not default, I don’t know for sure - since NP2 haven’t received any updates of that so yeah). You cannot edit any photos, you cannot set as wallpapers - excellent.
The object detection/cut out feature, even this is hit or miss, in some images it cannot even find objects even though there are, and in some cases the object gets is cutted out in half like it’s doesn’t detect the full object.
Whats with the all the beta stuff?
Like almost everything is in beta stage, like c’mon:
- Nothing Gallery - In Beta from 6-7 months
- Reporter Widget - Still in Beta, don’t know how long it’s been
- Smart drawer - Still in Beta from 5-6 months
Nowadays it has started stuttering:
Like I don’t know but nowadays, it has started to stutter while using any application or matter of fact even in the app drawers, settings app as well, not sure why this is happening but it gets unusual jitter while scrolling especially, tried restarting and all, no luck. I would have attached proof but I cannot replicate it, but happens quite often.
What’s with the Update Strategy?
Like I feel NP2 are treated as [redacted] - like c’mon almost every single phones gets update before us, like we literally paid 45K for this, like sometimes it fine that other phones get features because of the timeline but it can’t be every single time. What’s the point even paying 45K and I don’t even get to try new features before others like what’s this Discrimination.
I know this isn’t gonna be solved anytime soon, but I just wanted to let my actual feelings out and I don’t even hope anything from Nothing now. I feel Nothing Phone should NOT be called as a flagship.
