Nothing show middle finger to their customer when it comes to AI features.

In the end of 2024 still there’s no AI features on nothing phone it’s just unbelievable..

Cheap chinese company phone like infinix they are giving 1000+ AI features on their phone..

We, customer are there help to grow a new company like nothing but in return we get nothing..

Nothing just justify their brand name Give nothing to customer..

shibprem Why being so negative? Nothing is working hard on new things, they are a new company. Which one do you want? A fastly made AI thing that nobody uses because its so horrible. Or carefully made AI system that everyone uses?

And how does Nothing show middle finger to their customers? They are doing the exact opposite. Thats why there is lots of places to give positive feedback to them, Discord, X, their community website, even on settings.

You can boost the AI features they are making by giving straight and positive feedback and suggestions to them, no need to be negative on all things.

Patience. Firstly they are making Nothing OS usable and with dozens of features, then moving to AI. You seen their gallery app right? Currently it has one AI feature. They need time to do everything they promised.

Even the CEO, Carl said that they are delaying the launch of Phone (3) to next year because they want to focus on AI features.

When they started making Phone (1), they literally said that NOS takes out the bloatware, focuses on user experience. They are doing their best for their customers.

The AI is not everything what we need. Nothing OS is the most user-friendly experience i’ve ever seen. Lots of customisation, security and the clean look of it. I am surviving without AI, you have Gemini, ChatGPT and Google Photos with everything. Not saying that Nothing should not make AI features, let them cook.

shibprem Hey mate. It’s easy for any manufacturer to add features, there’s tons of ‘AI’ features that exist in smartphones and ‘AI’ startups that are promising to be the next big thing. However, I believe what Nothing are trying to do is be intentional with their AI features. They’ve experimented with things like ‘News Reporter’, introduced the AI launcher and, have discussed AI in Nothing Gallery.

I’m pretty confident that from Infinix’s 1000+ features, you would use approx. 2 AI features in your daily life. The reality is, feature after feature doesn’t really add much. What does is intentional implementations of these features that make someones life easier, that’s where we see value.

If you do have feedback I’d advise you submit ideas to Nothing via settings > system > feedback but, I wouldn’t say their lack of AI is a ‘middle finger to the consumer’… quite the opposite, it’s considering what the consumer actually wants & needs vs. overloading their devices with un-needed features which affect performance.

I believe they will come with new Android updates, just have to wait at this point. Not all features are out yet.

Basically for every AI feature out there, theres an app on Play Store. Just download and do whatever you want. I dont think Nothing wants to bloat their OS with unnecessary functionality. They seem to keep their OS as close to pure Android as possible, with only some branding customization. I think that’s one of the main reasons why me and a lot of customers chose Nothing.

if you want AI assistant, gemini is there already.
gpt, copilot, perplexity etc. even you can have alexa but you need prime for that. you cant use siri coz its android.

@hrry Totally agreed with your view, but the thing is nothing makes just hype rather than delivering the updates. FYI they had mentioned to release new widgets, Gallery with AI features, and more customisation in NOS 3.0 when it was announced. But at the time of delivering these features in stable update, they still want more time to gets things fixed.

Moral is if you are confident enough to plan releases on time then only mention the features that will come in future. Otherwise just take more time and then push those features. Consumers have invested in nothing, so they deserve to ask questions about their concerns.

I hope @adbo will pin point these issues in meetings at nothing.

When will AI features come in nothing phone, like One Plus or other brands. How amazing are the AI features in all of these, that too in a mid-range phone.

One Plus phone has amazing come back, wow, what an improvement in the camera quality, and the AI features are amazing. Regular updates are being given on One Plus phone.

I want that ‘Nothing phones’ should also get regular updates and AI features, and the problems in these nothing phones should be fixed.

Aditya_ZMdH6NO6Ot I don’t believe Nothing’s goal is to bake AI-related features into NOS, unlike Apple, Samsung, Google, Motorola etc. Essential Space is really the only AI(sort-of) feature available to newer Nothing Phones. You can use apps like Gemini on your 2a or other AI apps. Nothing’s goal is to make a minimal yet functional OS, without bloatware or intrusive AI.
