After a few minutes of scrolling, my Phone 2a starts getting hot. I’m not sure if this started after the last update, but it suddenly began overheating to the point where it felt burning hot. I had to restart it, but it stayed very hot for half a day. I’ve never had any heating issues with this phone before.
It’s really annoying because I can even feel how warm it gets in my pocket. I’m using a clear silicone case, so it’s not like the heat is trapped inside a thick case or anything.
On the bright side, the battery life is still really good — it can easily last 2-3 days with normal use, even with these heating issues.
It says “fast charging” when plugged in, but in reality, it charges pretty slowly. For comparison, I tested my 6-year-old Xiaomi backup phone — I opened around 15 apps and did the same things I did on the Phone 2a, and it stayed completely cool!
