Automatically power on for clock alarm

Good evening, after the update 1 week ago to NothingOs 2.0.4 I have observed that if you turn off the phone with the alarm clock activated it does not ring, it only gives the missed alarm warning when you turn it on again. And for it to work it must always be on, does anyone have this problem or know how to solve it?

So, I am the kind of user who turns off her phone at night. However, I always set an alarm for the next morning. I’ve had many phones in my life, and none of them have failed to turn on in the morning to start the alarm—until I bought the Nothing Phone 2. This really surprised me. Is there any way to make it turn on when it’s off, specifically to sound the alarm? ☹

Palmix 🇮🇹 Hi 👋 As far as I’m aware, I don’t think this feature is possible on Nothing Phone (2). I’d recommend providing OS feedback via your phone’s Settings > System > Feedback option, if this is a strong feature you’d like to see on your device.

Palmix 🇮🇹 It Is something that has to be built into the kernel, and as far as I know it’s not implemented. I suggest you to activate the flip to mute so you can keep your phone on and don’t be bothered at night 😉

@Mirko_ddd Oooh ok 🙁 Yeah, maybe I’ll program it, or I don’t know if the “flip to mute” can be programmed (?) I had that function active, but then I deactivated it because during the day I don’t need it to be silenced. I will check if I can program it for the night 🤔 Well, I know I’m the typical odd user who goes for things no one else cares about 🤣

I will suggest you to turn on flight mode at night instead of power off your phone

Can set a schedule with Do not disturb and set it to go on when you usually put your phone down each night then have it turn off like 5 min before your alarm would go off. So no notifications bother you and you’ll still get the alarm on the morning

This is seriously annoying since I have overslep many times already because of it just not ringing.
