@Carl lives in London and will quite prices in GBP.

The INR price will always be lower than the GBP price as the GBP price has 20% VAT for starters.

I would usually use a 40% reduction from a GBP:INR direct exchange rate.

I really think that increase a price by 2x from previus model is a huge mistake. Or the second NP is not a flagship phone? When we bought it 2 years ago nobody said it. The price still at 600-650 $, no another way. Dont become an Apple please.

Midnight I agree. I’ve lived through the 1+ ecosystem with an invite-only 1+1 and it went downhill from there. CMF1/2 is still good though. NP1, NP2, NP3 will find the CMF family of phones.

Thus, I’m OK with the high NP3 as long as it funds the CMF3 as I’m stunned that the CMF1/2 make any profit over their support lifespan.

Also, NOTHING Technology LTD has most recent filing had a -£100M balance that has to be rescued.

The question is whether it will truly be able to compete with giants like Vivo, Samsung, and Google in the premium segment. Don’t get me wrong—I’m just trying to be realistic. If I have the option to buy a well-established flagship like the Vivo X200 Pro for around ₹90,000, would I really choose a premium device from a new brand over one from a seasoned, proven player?

Man to be honest I own nothing phone 2

It was overall a great experience except for few glitches I experience here and there

But buying a 90000 price phone in India which is 15000 more than iphone is truly insane

Beyond the hype and marketing gimmicks of being a “true flagship,” the Nothing Phone series lacks something fundamental — a solid core mobile experience backed by well-developed native apps and reliable after-sales service. At least in India, the company has been somewhat misleading on these fronts. As an experienced Nothing Phone 2 user, I remain skeptical about the upcoming Phone 3. My advice: wait at least 12 to 18 months after launch before considering a purchase. By then, prices often drop significantly — sometimes by 50% to 60%.

Do not simply converting pounds to your currency, but check out other smartphones that sell for £800 in the UK (Galaxy S25, iPhone 16, Pixel 9, 128GB base models) and then check their prices in your country/region.

A simple conversion based on exchange rates is incorrect.

If I was willing to pay 800 bucks for a phone, which I am not, then I would probably get a Pixel 9 Pro, because it gets full support for Calyx, e/OS and Graphene. I will never use a stock Android again. I love the NP design, but unless there is solid support for a privacy focused custom rom, I will not buy one. I know this is unrealistic, but my dream is still a degoogled version of Nothing OS, directly offered from Nothing. Still I am excited that Nothing is doing this and hope they are successful with the Phone (3).

I am a proud and happy user of the Nothing Phone 1.

Regarding Nothing Phone 3,

Well the Pricing is a little on the upper side, I feel. In India, it would sell like hot cakes if it would be priced somewhere around 60k.

Carl , I personally wish to review the Nothing Phone 3 first and get a feel of it’s flagship features. Keeping fingers 🤞🏻.

I am sure, my review would definitely inspire other users too.

£800 is a big leap from the current £449 and £379 for the 3a Pro and 3a. Competing directly with the higher tier offerings from the likes of Apple, Samsung and Google is certainly a different and ambitious strategy.

Given the great performance from most of today’s ‘mid tier’ offerings, there is little reason or incentive - except for cachet - for majority of smartphone buyers to buy a ‘flagship’ phone. I certainly won’t be spending more that twice the amount of a 3a for a ‘flagship’ Nothing Phone 3.

But I hope for the gang at Nothing that the flagship 3 will be a success.

So_rohantic To be honest, I hadn’t thought of it that way — you might be right. Realistically, no Indian buyer would spend ₹90,000 on a phone from a new brand over Samsung or Apple.
If Nothing really wants to compete in the Indian market, they should consider launching their flagship at a price point around ₹50,000–₹60,000.
