SandraRaj It’s just a gimmick. I doubt that phone will even last four years—just ignore it. In fact, there’s already a report of a Phone (2a) blast in India; check it out on YouTube. If the Nothing Phone (2a) has issues, there’s a chance CMF devices might too. Fingers crossed!
Keep in mind, most smartphones—regardless of brand—don’t last beyond 7 years. Over time, hardware, especially the battery, degrades. Plus, Android updates often require more powerful hardware, and CMF phones come with fairly average specs. So it’s unlikely they’ll hold up well long-term.
So don’t stress or compare it with your current device.
Instead, go for a flagship from last year at the lowest price you can find. No need to buy a new flagship every single year.
