Does anyone have anything to say about CMF Buds 2 or so ? How does it compare to other earbuds in this price segment?😬

fred8559 it was never meant to dethrone it. Carl released the oringal Pro and standard Buds in tech.

So it’s like this:

Buds Pro 1 = Buds 2

Buds 1 = Buds 2A

Buds 2 Plus is a standalone, it’s not the same as the Buds 2 Pro

There isn’t even LC3, which is a missed opportunity, heck they increased the price of the Buds 2 Pro, it’s 89USD.

I’ve just placed an order for this CMF Phone 2 Pro after very positive reviews from Mrwhosetheboss & Tech Spurt.

This will be the first brand new phone i’ve bought since the Ericsson T10S in the 1990’s (don’t judge me 😂) as i usually end end with my son’s cast offs.

I’m looking forward to giving this a whirl once i’ve worked out how to clone the stuff over from my OPPO.

JasonSean I’m pretty sure I saw another reviewer demonstrate that the wallet attachment won’t fit the Phone 2. The only accessories from Phone 1 that fit are those using the dial/screw anchor at the bottom.

Ah! I thought the reviewer said they were all compatible? I got it half price with the 2 pro so I’ll see when it gets here. Thanks for the reply, much appreciated 👍

JasonSean I’m happy to be corrected if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure the top set of screws on Phone 2 are higher up the body, so the top and bottom screw holes on the wallet don’t line up with the screws.
Kinda bad if they’re advertising them alongside the Phone 2 if they don’t fit though. Any chance someone from Nothing can wade in with some clarification here?

aFriendNamed5 They didn’t advertise alongside, I misunderstood the review video and thought I’d grab one. I’m intending to mess about with making my own accessories so I’ll see if I can adapt it or something. The fun of modularity. Thanks for connecting up again. 🙂

Boggles my mind how they took away the DNA of the cmf phone product line all so they can add NFC, increase water resistance and put some joke of an option called the universal cover that has to remain on so long as you’re using accessories, which makes the phone 2 pro thicker than the phone 1 but uglier lol.

The phone has screws now just for show, they’re not really for anything. The back is no longer removable so u can’t swap colours or mix and match sim trays and dials. But hey, now it’s more like every other phone people would go buy and probably will buy anyway. At least the white looks good.

Everybody is talking about cpu and their nm only.But in today’s ai apps and ai integration in apps don’t we need processor that support ai.

I am talking about processor architecture family armv8-A armv9a

NFC is essential for UK, more sales is company growth and there will be loads of funky 3D print options to screw on soon enough as printers and creatives get busy.. I think it’s a great upgrade.

JasonSean gotta disagree about NFC.

I leave my phone in the office and no one can contact me and I pay by RFID.

Heaven.

I can’t imagine dragging a phone around for the tube or to buy things.

I value my personal time.

So, I see this as a step backward for the CMF line of phone.

Having been negative so far, I am glad CMF didn’t roll out a package to the UK with a charger. Likewise, I can understand why they didn’t offer the Indian variant with NFC as it’s useless there.

Midsommar can’t arrive soon enough.

CMF1_hacker surely your assumption on NFC is based on presumably using your phone as a work phone and not a main phone. You have the luxury to leave it at the office and rely on a second phone as your main phone?. People who perhaps, have only 1 device, might find NFC very useful. Unless, you literally leave your phone at the office and don’t want anyone like a loved one to contact you?

Tor nah, it’s my main phone. I have two children and I’m sure they’d be taken well care of in case of a medical emergency and I’d be a hindrance. The schools will simply sort it out and they’ll contact me (or the NHS)

I’m.old school and cycle into work (and drop the kids at school) and simply use one of these.

CMF1_hacker an interesting stance in today’s world I must admit. I couldn’t imagine not having some means of contact or options in an emergency, even it was just as simple as a phone call, I couldn’t leave my only phone in the office and be out about and not contactable should the need arise. Will check the wallets though as always on the lookout for something nice and slim there. Cheers.

When I lived in Stockholm. We had the slimmest jeans and the slimest single card holders (metal). As a family man, I have about 7 cards now.

How you spend your time is the one element in your life you control. Sometimes I want to be found, other time less so.

I honestly don’t miss NFC and I don’t have to deal with mobile phone thieves, which have far out passed RFID-skimmers.

I think most people would be wise to consider the BENEFITS of an NFC-free phone.

(Shoulda bought a Fairphone 5 but I’m too cheap)
