Pompa82 I am facing the same issue with my Nothing 3a.

I can’t find any setting to turn the noise cancellation/reduction off.

Pompa82 Hello! Nice to see such a close community relationship. The problem stills there, there is a few reddit posts about it. The mic doesn’t pick up on my voice if I don’t speak clearly and loud. Every time I video call someone at night and I cannot talk loudly it doesn’t pick up my voice. It seems to be related to the noise cancelling software. Non fixed on the few last updates. Loving the 3a experience guys, this is the only problem I experience on a daily basis.

Hey everyone! Quick update, after installing the latest system update(v3.1-250417-1222-EEA) on the Nothing Phone 3A, the microphone issue on WhatsApp calls finally seems to be fixed 🎉

Just tested it thoroughly. now even when I laugh or speak softly, the other person can still hear me clearly. Looks like the noise suppression bug has been addressed in this patch.

If you haven’t updated yet, I recommend installing it and giving it a try.

Pompa82 I have still got people complaining that they cannot hear me properly on pretty much every WhatsApp call I have, even though I am on the latest system update on my phone 3a pro

Pompa82 That’s a massive shame. The first thing you expect a phone to be good at is calls, especially on one of the largest messaging platforms like WhatsApp. Gotten to the point where I am considered ditching my Nothing phone after just a few weeks. I use WhatsApp call for everything and family and friends not being able to hear me is a massive deal breaker.

Shame on Nothing. This is a spectacular let down! This issue is existential and should be fixed as a matter of priority.

I’m experiencing the same issue with my Nothing Phone 3a Pro. Occasionally, when I receive a regular phone call (not through WhatsApp), I answer it, but there’s no audio — I can’t hear the caller, and they can’t hear me, even though the call is active.
