Will the old Nothing Phone models support the new Essential Space feature in the future?

Hey,
I have a major privacy concern with Essential Space. It straight-up asks for full gallery access, which is super concerning. I actually bought the Nothing Phone 3a Pro mainly to use this feature—and I’m totally fine sharing some specific stuff with Essential Space. But giving access to my entire gallery? That’s a no-go.

We all know that even if we ask AI to delete or anonymize our data, there’s still a chance it gets used to train models. So, I really think users should have control over what we share. Limited access should be an option.

Right now, though, Essential Space won’t even open without full gallery permissions, which is just frustrating. I went with Nothing hoping for a clean, privacy-friendly experience—but this feels like the exact opposite. It honestly seems like it’s trying to scoop up everything in the gallery, and that’s not okay.

I’ve already posted a separate thread and dropped my thoughts in the main Essential Space thread too. Really hope the team sees this and makes some changes soon.

Noise / Voice cnacellation on speaker phone is too agressive , cant talk to family when multiple people are involved it mutes everyone else except the oerson infront of camera or closest to.phone

I would like to tell the board to do better at your inventory. And why do yall think its ok to only offer the blue nothing phone 3a for the none pro version and then proceed to make limited stock considering the white and black has been restocked for at least a week. I have waited roughly a month for the phone to restock and I am HIGHLY disappointed. For a company that is supposed to be new and small yall over here releasing a new phone this week (CMF2) but cant restock a phone that was released over a month ago?

Service Of Nothing Devices and Quality Control
Since Nothing Phone 2a and 2a+ have Display Quality Issue, will they replace the display for free if it became bad like Green line or Green tint , I am using 2a+ and first i didn’t notice the green tint that much in low light but after each passing month, it becoming more and more visible & its driving me uncomfortable , When i look at other companies they are freely replacing the display and battery (they charge you 500 rs for service charge ). and 2a series display is bad from the beginning, What is nothing going to do about this.

Nothing TV - Location, Tone & Content Segments - Maybe have a ‘News’ segment that is worth covering over and above the community here if Nothing TV is an ongoing format/series of videos.

Would it make more sense to put out the best version of the Nothing Phone 3a Pro with a better chip and camera system instead of the non pro? The reviewers seem to be going for the pro.

I’d like to highlight a few key areas where the camera experience can be improved to better match the potential of Nothing phones.

Night Mode Limitations (Especially at 1x and 2x Zoom)

While Night Mode works okay in certain scenarios, it struggles significantly when zoomed in. At 1x and 2x, photos often lack detail, appear noisy, and don’t match the quality expected from the hardware.

Mobile Videography Needs Major Work

This is one of the biggest concerns. Despite having OIS, EIS, and capable camera sensors, video output remains underwhelming. It lacks consistency in lighting, stabilization, and detail—making it hard to rely on for serious video content.

Overall Camera System Refinement

Normal photo mode may deliver great shots, but the camera experience should go beyond that. Features like Portrait, Night Sight, Zoom, and Video all need more optimization to unlock the full potential of the hardware.

AI-Powered Enhancements

AI-based improvements for both video and photo modes can help significantly—especially in dynamic lighting, subject detection, and color tuning.

Faster, Smarter Autofocus

Autofocus sometimes feels slow or inconsistent, especially during video recording or in low light. A more responsive system would greatly improve user experience.

Cinematic Video Mode

With the powerful processors and sensors available, we believe current Nothing phones are fully capable of supporting a cinematic video mode. This is something many users want, and we hope to see it included soon
