3a fingerprint scanner not responsive when phone is laying flat

As the title says, I have had this issue repeatedly, when the phone is laying flat, the fingerprint reader just doesn’t respond to my finger. The screen is on but nothing happens no matter how many times I touch the screen or how long I hold for. But if I pick the phone up off the table, the fingerprint reader springs to life and works instantly.

*EDIT: Just received an update to Nothing O.S ‘asteriods-V3.1-250401-1916’. This appears to have fixed the issue. I’ll update again if the problem returns 🙂

*EDIT 2: The update didn’t fix the issue. The problem returned as soon as I unplugged the phone from charging. This adds some potential insight into the problem. When the phone is charging, everything works fine. But as soon as you unplug…broken scanner again. I’ve tested this multiple times.

Agree with you. The haptic feedback of finger print sensor is bad.

The vibration on finger printer scanner is inconsistent.

I hope nothing resolve this issue in upcoming future updates.

Lumoti yes dude I’m facing the same problem in nothing phone 3a pro.they tell me to visit the service center dude i have also got a white line problem they told me that it’s a software issue and will be solved in the next software update which is supposed to come in april I’m still waiting like dude how many time’s should your customer visit service center.kindoff disappointed dude

AshleyLobo white line problem? As in how? Like a green line issue?

IftikharHossain not a green line.and it appears suddenly when your using the phone and it’ll appear when you try to restart the phone and i recently found out that it appears 100 percent When you try to boot it in safe mode or boot loader it appears and goes under a sec.i have attached a video below just keep your eye above the camera you’ll notice a white line also i have attached a video for the fingerprint sensor issue

AshleyLobo heyy i just checked my Phone 3a’s fingerprint in a soft surface, mine doesn’t works too. This is because the screen and the fingerprint sensor is pressure sensitive. So when you keep it on a soft surface, it wont work however put your hand on the back of the phone and try again, it’ll work, so surely this is regarding the pressure sensitivity, the fingerprint doesn’t scans if pressure is less. One more thing you can try, put it on a soft surface and press your finger with some force, you’ll see it’ll work.

AshleyLobo talking about issues, one issue i faced is of laggy AOD. After i updated my phone on 1st April, i faced this issue, sometimes all of the sudden AOD starts to become laggy, in the sense, when i turn off my phone, it appears after noticable 4-5 seconds. I’m waiting for a software update fix for this issue..

Lumoti hmm. Then i would suggest u to wait for a software update, if it Still isn’t resolved, you should visit the service centre..

I don’t face any White Line issue while restarting (replying to another user).

IftikharHossain try restarting it in boot loader and then safe mode
