vincesatsong Honestly, I think these are normal things that can happen. These are very delicate designs that are treated meticulously. I find it surprising that this doesn’t happen more often. In any case, it’s not something that bothers me too much, since it hardly affects the aesthetics at all. I just hope that the manufacturing process improves in the future.

Even I have the same kind of issue and I just came to check if someone else got dust too. I have the blue varient and its so easily noticable which is kind of disturbing to view. There are quite a lot of dust than I expected. And these photos are taken after carefully cleaning the glass with micro fibre cloth, so they are clearly not dust above the glass. I don’t know if these can be taken to the service centres for discussion.

jeavane The truth is that I do not recommend making any changes for this problem, since I have seen that it has happened to several people. For this new phone it was obvious that if they wanted to maintain a competitive price, they had to cut costs in some area, and it is quite logical that the manufacturing process is not the strong point of this phone, if you request a replacement or repair, you run the risk of this problem being more serious or not being solved, so since it affects the aesthetics so little, I would simply ignore it. In my case it was the same, I kept the same phone without any replacement and in the end I forgot that the speck of dust was there.

Pau I absolutely love the phone overall. I saw a reel about transparent design’s challenges in Carl Pei’s instagram profile, which actually made me take a look for dust. Anyways I love the device in and out. So yeah guess I should just ignore it.

Pau I’ve got a bit of dust inside my phone 2 too. I think it somehow gets through the top speakerphone, since it’s accumulated around the same area, just on the back underneath the glass. It’s very fine dust tho, I need to look for it to notice it’s there, so it doesn’t bother me that much.

DawiD The main difference is that with the Phone 3a it’s a matter of the manufacturing process, it comes that way from the factory, while the Phone 2 has an IP54 certification which is too weak for its range.

jeavane Yes, I know that the dust issue is A little complicated, in the end for many it can be annoying, but you also have to understand that for a phone with these characteristics you have to cut costs somewhere, Just as I’m sure many people have the same problem and probably haven’t even noticed, so yes, it’s best to ignore it.

Yeah I have too, on my 3a out of the box. Dust particles and a small metal shaving too (that one is a bit longer and shiny).

Recently I have purchased Nothing 3a Pro and now there are dust particles in periscope camera lense. Please guide me, how to protect the phone from dust.

I do have it too upon a detail inspection. I have it on my 3a Pro lens and its very visible. I hope it does not go to the center of the lens. I’m very worried about it :,(

Same issue with the 3a here…I was wondering if I was the only one

Got my 3a in blue, and the dust it’s too noticeable. The phone is great, don’t get me wrong and it doesn’t affect the overall performance of the phone, but at least for me it’s hard to ignore.

The solution I’m thinking of is using a non-transparent case, which is a shame since the design is beautiful…

Hopefully Nothing will improve the manufacturing in next generations
