iPhone, Google Pixel, or Nothing Phone?

I am going to buy a new phone. I have been very interested in the Nothing Phone (2) and the Google Pixel 8a, however, an iPhone would also be nice. Can someone please give me a list of the pros and cons for all three? Please be honest. Also, is there any way to get iMessage on Nothing OS?

Jonny Hey there! I’m no Phone reviewer or anything but I’ll try my best to give you some Pros and Cons of each.

Nothing Phone (2)

Pros:

It has a unique design: The LED lights give it a distinctive look.
Has good performance for the price: Handles everyday tasks and gaming smoothly.
Very clean software experience: Nothing OS offers a minimal interface.

Cons:

Camera quality: While decent, it might not match top-tier flagships in low light.
Price: Compared to the Pixel 8a, it’s on the higher end. But right now, it’s at a pretty good deal! Here in the US, it’s 450 for the base model.
Software updates: Might not have as long of an update cycle as other options.

Google Pixel 8a

Pros:

Excellent camera: Google is known to having one of the best camera systems in the market.
Pure Android experience: No bloatware, just clean software.
Affordable flagship features: Offers high-end specs at a mid-range price.
Long software support: Google promises 7 years of software support. (We’ll see if they actually hold up to that)

Cons:

Design: It’s less flashy compared to the Nothing Phone (2).
Might lack some premium features: Compared to the Pixel 8 or iPhone.

iPhone

Pros:

It has a strong ecosystem: With seamless integration with other Apple devices.
The build is very high quality.
Excellent camera system: Consistently top-rated.
Long-term software support: Apple is known for its updates.

Cons:

Price: Generally higher price point compared to the other options.
Limited customization: iOS is less customizable than Android.
App Store restrictions: Fewer app options compared to the Google Play Store.
My personal take: it’s just boring.

Now I’ve never personally had any of these phones before so forgive me, but I’ve watched plenty of reviewers.

Jonny I would recommend you NP2a/plus very good battery, i like the camera, the screen quality and size, the phone is working fast and more newer then NP2.

Pixel 8a it’s very small screen and has disproportionately large margins that it’s very ugly for the phone, only the camera is good there and the software updates for 7 years.

Jonny Nothing phone 2 is an overall good phone.It has a great design, good performance and great battery life. The only con for me is the camera. It takes inconsistent photos but the videos are great even though the front cam is capped at 1080p

Pixel 8a i think is the worst.It has a good camera and the best software experience.Other than that be it the display, performance, battery life, everything is bad.

There aren’t any iphones at this price range. But if you are willing to spend a little bit more, you can get the iphone 13. The only con is the battery life which draine very quickly. I wouldn’t say it is worth to buy the 13 because most features that you see on the pro wont be available.

Out of the bunch, i would choose NP2. I have used it for the past year and i am really glad i bought this. Also i heard the phone 3 will be releasing soon.If you have time, then just wait for that.

If you can live without wireless charging, consider the (2a) Plus.

The pixel 8a is a ok kind of take if you don’t use the device primarily for gaming as the processor is bad for that price and the phone gets heated. The battery life is small and the display bezels can be irritating cause for that price many phones offer you thin bezels or close to no bezel display while the pixel 8a’s bezels are irritating.

The iPhone is good but limited customisation and missing some important features are to be concerned.

Lastly the phone 2; it is a good overall phone (the performance, software experience) but the cameras are not as good as the above two and you only get less number of os updates compared to the other two. But if you want it I may suggest you to wait for the phone 3 and you can decide.

You can also consider phone 2a plus.
