Performance Drop After March 2025 Update – Nothing Phone (2)

Hi team,
I’m writing to report a noticeable drop in performance on my Nothing Phone (2) after the March 2025 security patch / OS 3.0 update.
Issues I’m experiencing:
1. App Performance
Apps like YouTube, Instagram, and WhatsApp frequently reload when switching between them.
Multitasking feels slower and background apps don’t stay in memory like they used to.
2. Battery Drain
Battery life has dropped significantly — I’m getting about 2–3 hours less screen-on time than before.
3. Thermal Issues
The phone heats up more than usual during light use (social media, camera, browsing), with temps reaching ~40°C.
4. Camera Quality
Photo quality has worsened. HDR feels broken — highlights are overexposed and shadows lack detail.

Running latest OS as of May 2025
All apps updated
No third-party mods or root
It’s really disappointing to see a premium phone like the Phone (2) lag behind, especially when newer models like the 2a seem to be getting more focus and better optimization. Many users in the community share the same experience.
Please acknowledge and fix these issues. We chose the Phone (2) for the promise of long-term support and quality — and we want to see that commitment delivered.
I feel everyone should be not recommend for nothing premium phones even they new phone 3 because they are not focus for premium phones software fixing only need money after one year realise chose nothing premium phones is bad disition.
