Because the voting has started, I would like to recommend some suggestions for voting, considering that this threadās replies talk about so very few. Iām in no way associated with the people/teams Iām going to write about and I didnāt submit anything for this stage.
With that out of the way, a solid design that stood out to me among the others would be Martinās. Its texture looks like something taken straight out of a comic book, with a young and energetic design that makes you hyped for the phone just by looking at the package. The green is so brightly neon that it grabs the buyerās attention immediately, while, to me, also looks like itās hinting towards the glow (in the dark) gimmick of the phone.
At the polar opposite is the mature and refined design created by Ian. The big eye in the middle of the box grabs the buyer by their soul and pulls them into a dimension they never dared to explore, zooming past generic competing brands and landing them smack-dab in the middle of a planet of technological wonder. At least, thatās what the design inspires, a brand that offers courage to its buyers to try something unprecedented.
Another great entry is Vivekās mysterious design. The main layer of the package looks like itās merely showcasing the color of the phone that the buyer is about to purchase. However, the two strategically placed circles on the second layer surround the box in this mystical aura, making the buyer wonder what secrets the phone is hiding. The glass effect added on top of the circles not only goes hand in hand with Nothingās aesthetic, but also makes me feel like Iām looking at something Iām not supposed to see yet.
I would like to conclude by adding that people should not consider things like āfinancial feasibilityā or what the point of a box should or shouldnāt be when voting, because neither are we Nothingās corporate cost assessment team, nor should we focus solely on traditional design concepts. We are a community of passionate people who are here to vote on entries that we believe look cool, while inspiring designers to create anything that races through their minds. If you want to vote for glow-in-the-dark boxes, transparent plastic boxes, boxes made out of weird organisms, thermochromic paint boxes or anything else, by all means do so.
