It’s been almost a month using the CMF Phone 2 Pro as my daily driver now, and it’s a good time to talk about the battery life this thing has to offer.

Core specs🗒
Capacity: 5000mAh, rated 4920mAh (i.e. you’ll get atleast 4920mAh at minimum)
Wired charging: 33W
Reverse wired charging: 5W
Charging brick and cable included in the box (for buyers located in India ONLY).
The brand doesn’t promise this for future devices, they’ll observe the response of this move and then decide whether to include a charging brick for the coming phones or not.
My unpopular opinion: If a phone has charger in box, it’s not free - you’re PAYING a certain sum for it. I’d rather have the flexibility to buy the charger separately if I need one, rather than be forced to pay extra without choice.
Battery usage🔋
During the testing period, I covered:
- the usual apps: YouTube, social media, notes, etc.
- regular camera testing
- gaming (mostly BGMI, some Genshin Impact & Asphalt)

under the conditions:
- wifi & AOD on
- bluetooth & battery saver off

I got a pretty solid 8 to 10 hours of usage per full charge, on average. I was able to go about my daily tasks from sunrise to sunset.
No LTPO display here, so the AOD runs on 30Hz, a lil more juice being consumed.
Overall, the battery seems to be functioning fine, just as you’d expect a 5000mAh bank to.
Charging🔌
This is where things get interesting.
To start off, 33W does feel slow in 2025. Almost all competitors offer faster charging.
My unit clocked in between 80 to 100 minutes for a full charge (0 to 100), which is slightly higher than the expected numbers for a 33W charger.

Issues have been reported regarding slow and highly varying charging speeds on some devices.
The team is currently testing different scenarios where this could occur, and is working on the solution.
Thermals🌡
The thermals are fine in most cases. Sits around 30-35°C under normal circumstances.
I faced no issues indoors (ambient temp ~25°C), no serious heat ups.

It did get hot pretty quick when I started filming 4k on a sunny summer noon in Delhi, yes that’s the warmest you can go.
So that’s all about the battery and thermals of the CMF Phone 2 Pro, let me know your opinions and of course any questions that you have :]
