How to disable fingerprint scanner circle after locking the phone?

Hi!
After I lock my Nothing Phone, a fingerprint scanner circle appears on the screen after a few seconds.
Is there any way to disable this? I don’t want the fingerprint prompt to show up unless I tap the screen or press the power button.

I’ve checked the settings, but couldn’t find an option to turn it off.

Any help would be appreciated!

LynchTime Hey, I believe that currently there’s only an option under the fingerprint settings to show the icon when you slightly move the phone.

LynchTime There is a option to show / hide fingerprint icon while moving phone But it is not working, even after disabling it the icon always show 😂

The fingerprint icon appears for a few seconds when the phone is locked regardless of options set

I’ve never figured out why they decided this was a good idea… that’s the least useful time I need to know where the fingerprint scanner is

Stupidly it’s also bugged… if you enable airplane mode and toggle off Bluetooth locking the phone causes the fingerprint icon to not show (at least in a dark room)

My assumption is the Nothing software devs had to hack together some spaghetti code to stop something breaking when locking the device and the fingerprint overlay allows the phone to finish some kind of sleep task

Basically Carl should hire competent devs

pandaman777 yes nothing has to do so many works regarding software, also the HDR display setting is not working, even after disabling it when we watch YouTube, HDR videos increases the screen brightness.

I also think it’s ridiculous that after locking it appears the fingerprint circle for a few seconds.

I don’t know if it’s a bug, but I agree with the user’s comment above, maybe some ‘hack’ to avoid problemas if you want to unlock with screen off, or something else.

I say this because I’ve used Custom Roms for many years and I know the headaches devs have to make it work.

C3NAS What is really annoying is I reported this as something to change and they acted as if it’s a bug and whether I’ve tried restarting my phone

Erm… it’s literally part of NothingOS and nobody seems to be able explain it’s purpose
