Absolutely agree with this thread. The experience of using the phone after the latest updates is pure misery. And most importantly no updates for two months now? But CMF Phone (2) already has the latest NOS. Do they want me to throw away my NP 2 and go buy new ones?

They called it a flagship-“like” experience for a reason, and that’s what it feels like for me. Suits my needs, even though I’m a fairly heavy user. The cameras are hit-or-miss like you said, though. At least the video is reliable.

I thought the updates were pretty fast, but this thread seems to think the complete opposite. The only thing I am truly looking forward to in the future is the updated camera app, which will probably come with some tuning anyway.

So not a flagship, just a premium midranger trying its best to be a flagship.

pollenjh Yeah but it doesn’t feel ’like: a premium device at all nowadays. When it was launched I really liked since most of the things were actually good, but after updates it’s just going down(at least for me).

I never said anything about security updates. I am talking about the features that’s all.

Pranshu This is the worst company I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s still missing features, and now we have to wait another two months for more. I’m really curious to see who will buy the Phone (3). In my opinion, it’s an even bigger disaster than the Phone (2).

When I open my nothing phone 2 camera on public I am disappointed to show the results that even 10k phones have better photo clarity.I bought this phone because I thought this company will be different from other chinese brands and their vision is straight.I cant play cod mobile in max frame rate..the phone heating up like induction cooker.

But no, nothing phone 2 is called as flagship killer and priced higher.

Iam relieved to say that I didn’t wait to buy the phone 3, if bought then it will be a ‘big priced’ mistake.if the phone 3 didn’t sell well,it will be forgotten like phone 2

Nothing give this ‘update’ for name sake when people are compelling for updates .The next update will be at july so nothing no need to worry about not giving camera updates and untill this two months most of the sales will happen.They want older customers should ‘update’ to their new phones for new technologies and don’t go for older ones.

Pranshu As a Nothing Phone 2 user, the truth is that the company’s CEO’s words saying that now they will create a true flagship (Phone 3) leaves everyone who bought this Phone 2 and placed their trust in the company in a bad light. I have always had confidence that improvements with updates would come, but to be honest, the way this phone has been treated for a long time has been like a secondary phone and its price is not. You can no longer sell the speech that we are a small company that is growing, if you are committed to creating a high-end phone, then treat it as such since that is the service that its users are going to request. I hope, and for the good of this brand, that these unfortunate events do not occur again.

Again Nothing doing the same thing, with the latest update given to Nothing Phone (2) which is being rolled out today (14 May) doesn’t have Hotspot Manager.

Hotspot Manager feature was given to the Phone(2a) users just a day before this (13 May), they have given the same feature to them but NOT to Phone(2) users.

Note: This is also present in 3a series and Cmf pro 2, 2a as well but not Nothing Phone (2) - A Flagship Level Experience.

So Phone(2) users have to wait atleast 2 months for this now - Excellent.

Pranshu I may be an odd case. But my np2 is working well, photos are perhaps not the best, but they are far far from bad. I am however not a heavy phone user. I have one messenger app, photo backup app, news apps and that would be about it. Ah, maybe some tools apps (idk, Wolfram Alpha for example). Battery lasts me two days lmao!

And I don’t believe NP2 was ever considered flagship, it’s a midrange phone in a midrange price, currently perhaps low mid even.

DawiD Agreed with some parts, like for me as well battery backup is good enough, but here I am talking about the Camera like I can’t just take out my phone randomly to capture pictures, the output are really bad and this was not the case when it was launched I had bought my NP2 on the first day of sale, so I know the camera performance has been degraded a lot and I mean it.

It’s not treated well that is for sure, because every single time some or the other features are very late to NP2, a prime example for this could be Camera Widget (almost had to wait for 4-6 months), now Hotspot Manager while other phones already had/has them.

DawiD may be in some countries phone 2 price is average midrange price.but in my country the phone 2 comes as flagship killer with flagship killer price and didn’t got flagship experience in performance and updates even it equipped with a 8gen series chipset and good camera hardware.

@Pranshu Maybe you should answer one question first: Was the Phone (2) ever meant to be a “flagship” phone? I do not think so. Neither the price nor the specs are at flagship level. This is an upper mid-range device. No more and no less. And in this segment, the device is almost unbeatable.

Til (21) It was marketed as a Flagship Killer, and I agree you couldn’t say it is a flagship, but the price it was launched (45K - base variant), I expect atleast a proper experience, shouldn’t it be better than available Nothing Phones (talking about camera and feature related experience here)?

The camera has degraded, It was good when it was launched - I think I have already mentioned this many times.

Also I feel there is a lot of biasness towards other phones - like sometimes Phone(2) users gets the features very late (I’m talking about the features and NOT the bi-monthly updates) have listed some of those.

Also I have no complaints other than that, I really love it, it’s just the price to experience doesn’t match lately.

Edit:

If you see most of the users have camera related complaints because it actually has been degraded since the launch.
