“It’s fresh.”
“I like the feel.”
..is what people said when I handed them the CMF Phone 2 Pro.
And I agree.
Form factor and the back design
It’s light (185g), on the slimmer side (7.8mm), and the back..

the back panel giving you TWO options on the same phone is such a vibe move from the Nothing.
You can go with the frosted back, or a combo of gloss plus matte.

4 colors. All of ’em are pretty, but the white steals the show for me.
The camera module
The aluminium used for the camera module gives it a very classy-kinda finish.

The design’s got character, it’s a phone, and also a statement.
Frame and build
The frame, although plastic, looks (and almost feels) like metal.

I really wanted aluminium here but considering the budget this is the closest you can get.
Weight
I prefer slightly heavier phones (195-ish), just cuz they FEEL more premium (weird ik lol), but for the target audience of this device lighter is indeed better. Thumbs up on that.
Coming from the Phone (2a)
Coming from Phone (2a) as my primary device, I really miss the “rounder corners” (the CMF is good in it’s place, it’s just that more round on the corners looks better), something that even the (3a) Pro lacks.

Buttons and ergonomics
About the buttons, the volume rocker feels a little wobbly (you might not notice it unless paying attention).

And the positioning of the power and essential buttons - I personally would’ve liked them a few millimetres higher than where they are, depends palm to palm.
Durability(?)
Little I can say about durability - just my first week with the device.
I’m not risking it on my unit lol.
It does ship with the good ol’ IP54.
Early verdict
Aight so,
does the phone feel good in hand? mhm, most people will like it.
is this my favourite design in this segment? yes.

This was the build and design of the CMF Phone 2 Pro.
