Nothing Phone (2a) Plus issues after installing OS update

Recieved a new Nothing OS update recently. After that, my phone started to behave suspiciously: telegram app cannot send media, phone is overheating and battery drains fully in just 3 hours of screen. Today for example, i did not even left my job and my phone is already dead. Wtf is happening with my phone?

Definitely battery is messed up. I am charging my phone 2-3 times and I am not even gaming just instagram or whatsapp!

Anonny same for me, my use case is 20-30 mins of youtube in the morning and just checking messages during my work day. So today I got less then 3hrs of screen time, that’s nonsense!!
If problem persists, that could lead to a visit to repair house with dead battery… I’m very angry with it right now… no, I;m absolutely pissed off!!
And the phone was so hot, so I could feel it with my leg through jeans, very uncomfortable.

Anonny I have nothing phone 1 and last year around this time was facing the same so visited service centre and the guy there told this much is normal and I realised that the guy there has no knowledge as 20-22% per hr drop is not normal in any chance with light usage

KRVL I agree with you, there’s a significant issue of battery draining and heating as well.

Even I am facing battery drain issue where overnight I am observing 20 -25% battery draining

Most horrible is that i bought this phone just in march (right before 3a release, yes lol)

So, is there anything I can do? It is not normal to have such issues on a brand new phone bought two month ago

So what should I do with it? Just blindly wait for next update whenever it is? Or sell this phone and leave Nothing community? I feel like i got sh*t thrown to my face.
I’m sure, if problem persists for a week more, phone parts would be damaged, who will take responsibility? Not Nothing of course!!
