Hi everyone, this is my submission to the Hardware Community Edition Brief. Hope you like it!

Resonance began with a question: what if structure could be revealed through the way light interacts with the surface, as the phone shifts in the hand? Drawing from cymatics and interference patterns, the concept explores how movement and light can quietly activate a material response that is passive but precise.

Using pad-printed interference ink, the phone’s existing trace paths are made visible only from certain angles. When viewed directly, the surface remains neutral. As light moves across it, subtle spectral lines appear and dissolve. This is a behaviour embedded in the material, not an added graphic.

The design respects the existing geometry of the Phone (3a). Nothing is added that doesn’t belong. Trace printing follows the current layout, while camera accents, rails, and the system square are tuned to echo the same reflective logic. The result is a consistent surface language across every component.

Resonance is designed to feel like part of the Nothing ecosystem. It is quiet, structured, and intentional, revealing just enough, only when the moment is right.

Hope you like it!
