Hey Nothing Community!
So, a couple of us marketing folks (Yaroslav & Anton here!) decided to participate in the Community Edition Project (our first time btw) - we were aspired by the community spirit around Nothing brand, especially the last year’s CE winner.
Our big idea is called “Share the Light.” (check out the link)
The core thought? That the Community Edition phone isn’t just for the community, it’s kind of made of its energy. Every owner carries a bit of that shared spark – creativity, connection, passion. “Share the Light” is about visualizing that, especially using the Glyph interface as more than just notifications or a count down timer, but as a symbol of that shared energy passing between users. We described a film showing this, and a UGC campaign where everyone could literally #ShareTheLight from their own lives.
HUGE Shout-Out Incoming! 📣
We actually got to chat with a few awesome people from the community during some in-depth interviews, and their insights were GOLD (they helped us to understand you, the community). So, massive thanks to Vedant, Soumyajit Sen, Mael, Igor, and Amol! You guys are absolute legends.
Following the contest rules and Nothing’s transparency idea we have to disclose whether we used AI or not.
We did. And for the good - our jam is the strategy, the “why” and “how” . We know that we probably (we did) missed out on the design potential, because we know the real magic happens with a good design - so we did use AI for creating pictures, like the avatars, as well as social media picture
So, if you look at our visual ideas and think “Hmm, that could be executed way better/differently” - you’re probably right! With limited time and resources we researched through different internet sources, reddit, this fellow nothing.community forum and so on. We see our part as sparking the marketing idea.
Again, thanks for taking interest. We really hope that you’d like our key idea and its spark will also lit up your inner light, and thus we would do… well, nothing, but share the light 🙂
