This must be the dumbest device Nothing has ever made. I mean, a 5-10% faster CPU in new phones with “pro” ? Seriously? Anyone can achieve that just by boosting the clock speed of an existing chip. Everything else is the same old package. And UFS 2.2? Really? Because of this slow storage, the whole CMF Phone 1 suffers from lag and stuttering—and then they try to justify it with a blog post. and what’s the use of a better camera( in paper atleast) if the phone/camera is going to lag like crazy because of slow storage?
I currently own the CMF Phone 1 and the Phone 2a Plus. I loved the CMF Phone 1 when it launched—it was butter smooth. But now, it’s just a disappointing mess filled with bugs and no quality updates after Android 15.
The most disappointing part for me is their updates and the ignorance toward user complaints. They talked big, claiming they’re not just another company, but one that wants to build a community. Yet, they almost completely ignore every type of complaint on this forum.
Yes, I do feel scammed for trusting this brand.
And for those who say, “It’s just a 15K phone,” please don’t comment. I have nothing good to say to you. Just mind your own business.
If you’re not capable of maintaining your software, then why release an OS update every year? Nobody cares about new icons or a single new feature that will be changed again in the next Android version. You work hard an entire year to optimize one version, then jump to a new one that’s not optimized at all and runs like a beta for months. Please stop pushing OS upgrades unless they’re well optimized.
It feels like Nothing rushed the Android15 OS update just because a few tech reviewers said it was delayed or just to get few praise out of them for faster update—reviewers who don’t even use your phone daily, just test it for views. Because of that rush, real users like us are left with a frustrating, buggy experience and end up telling others not to buy Nothing again.
Just look at how many bad reviews Nothing OS 3.0 has compared to when it was still on Android 14. Then you’ll understand what I’m saying.
Please, don’t become the next Motorola of the industry. You can do better.
edit - Hey @Daniel , how could you merge a standalone post to an unrelated one? What are you trying to pull with these cheap tactics?
