Hello nothing team, I am facing issue with my nothing 3A camera. The photos and videos from main 1x camera is producing too much irregularities in white balance. It is making the photo and video very greenish

Hey guys…

So I have been using the Nothing 3a for more than a month now and at first the camera quality was great but as days pass, I’ve seen a big drop in camera quality. I shifted countries last month but I don’t think that the algorithm changed or the phone updated the camera app to match the location.

The biggest drop in camera quality is in the 1x Zoom Camera. Irrespective of the mode, be it night, portrait, photo or video, the phone doesn’t focus well and sometimes completely goes out of focus, leaving nothing but a blurry mess behind. Is it just me or since the last update, everyone is facing the same issue?

I hope Nothing resolves this matter soon… Hoping for the best!!

I switched from a iPhone 16 -> Samsung s25 -> Nothing Phone 3(a) and I must say the camera is pretty decent.

Although I do think the 4k camera has it’s downsides. Stuttering when recording for the first seconds (!) and some lag and bad stabilization.

Other than that. Here are some pics unedited.

Some shot with the main shooter other are zoomed 2x or 4x.

For all of you thinking of switching up I’d say go for it. I’m going to wait for the Phone 3 now to see what they can do better.

Really hoping Nothing keeps on listening to their users.

I’ve noticed that when shooting in Raw mode on my Phone 3a, the camera also saves a JPEG file. However, the two images aren’t identical, the JPEG is captured first, followed by the Raw image. This sequencing introduces additional shutter lag for the Raw file, which becomes especially noticeable when photographing moving subjects.

Could this process be improved? For example:

Capture the Raw image first, and generate the JPEG from that Raw file.
Provide an option in camera settings to choose between Raw only or Raw + JPEG.

My feature request: Could you enable the use of presets for the JPEGs created in Raw mode.

Ryarg that would be nice,and I also have this issue when taking raw from 2x I get 2x jpeg but 1x raw idk why

New phone, camera picture quality good, process the image fast

After few updates - there is reduced the quality, image processing, blurry, portrait mode not given much focusing

Please look into it for next update. I hope nothing will not disappoint nothing family.

Am an pencil drawing artist… sometimes I want to show cause the work for commission work…the quality and the sharpness of the picture in nothing 3a is outstanding when it comes to object and portrait but in the case of drawing it’s too annoying…

Is there any solution…🥺

Nothing 3a having halo effect. if the light is low it takes unusable photos why nothing hasn’t solved it yet. I think it’s over processing photos a lot cus photos after processing look worse. processing introduces halo and over sharpening over exposes the subject. there is a slight change of position some times it’s looking completely different pose after processing 😕.Even the good photos over exposed,some portion of face or white wall dressess also
