Hi Nothing team, just wanted to highlight an issue with the Phone (3a) camera. Honestly, the camera on the 2a feels way better in comparison.
Main issue is with the portrait mode — the fake blur looks really unnatural and exaggerated. If the object moves even slightly, it becomes super blurry and unusable. The motion handling feels like something from old Android phones.
Another big problem is the auto focus — it’s super slow and most of the time doesn’t even focus properly. Everything ends up looking blurry, even when you’re trying to focus on just one object. It should lock onto the subject more accurately.
We’re really hoping for a software update to fix this, especially the motion, portrait blur, and focus performance. Even if it’s not on par with Pixel, at least make it look natural and sharp.
Right now, the OS feels solid, but the camera makes us hesitate to use it. The hardware seems promising, but the results… not so much. Please look into this — we really want to love the 3a like we did the 2a.
