Android updates are stated to be 3 years on the website (and the Phone (1) was released in July 2022), if Android 16 is indeed released in the first half of 2025 as it seems it will be, would the Phone (1) receive one last OS update?

Nothing Phone (1) launched with Android 12 and received three major OS updates—Android 13, 14, and now 15—fulfilling the promised update cycle.

Even though Android 16 might arrive later in the same year as Android 15, “update policies are based on version count, not timing”.

Phone (1) will still get security updates but no Android 16.

Just want to know is there any way or any suprise about Android 16 upgrade for NP1? this can cause good example how Nothing treats its users.

Currently people still waiting for Android 5 even Android 14 at other brands. I always promote Nothing as SW upgrades and they are one of the fastest company to release Android upgrades.

Rachit it’s not in horizon for nothing, android 16 will likely be released at the end of the year for more newest nothing devices like they did with android 15.

we need to see in Q3 what happening with it.

vovan-v Official Android 16 release will happen in June, just inside the 3 year update window, but unless Nothing surprises us, I don’t see it coming to the NP(1)

TeeEeeBee yes becouse if nothing will release android 16 for np1 it will be outside the 3 years of os support, becouse they will release it only around winter.
