Vibration Intensity - Phone (2a)

Hello

Just got my Nothing phone 2a this WE.

Today, at work, I put it on vibration mode…. And I missig 3 phone cals on 4.

The vibration is very very low, even if the phone is put on a table. Is there a fix for this ?

(I saw that this is a reccurent problem on the net)

jszczurek Hey buddy u can simply adjust the vibration intensity in the settings column in Sound n Vibration…Do try it out.

Hello, sorry to hear you are having issues.

Just a few questions to help point you in the right direction?

When you have your 2a on the table, is the screen face up or face down?
Have you tried to adjust vibration intensity, I believe this is a feature on the 2a. If someone else, with a 2a, could verify this?

If you could clarify these points, that would be great to help you along with your issue.

Hello

I tried both face up and face down. Now I use face down to see the lights and see my incoming calls (instead of earing the vibrations).
I tried this tutorial : without success

jszczurek - I am unsure if this weak vibration motor is an issue affecting other users.

My suggestion at this stage would be to send Feedback to the Team, via your Phone (2a) to see if they can help.

To do this follow; Settings > System > Feedback.

I hope you get a swift and satisfactory resolution 🤞🏼

Ealesy101 This is also the case for phone 2 users. Actually it is actually worse than the np2a. We cant even control its intensity and it is really weak and integrated not so well compared to the competition

Same problem here with my CMF Phone 1, the vibration is weak and very short on notifications, i missed a lot of calls and messages. I would like stronger and longer vibrations.

Thank you for your feedback on the vibration level of the Nothing Phone 2a. If you have already set the vibration intensity to the maximum level and still find it insufficient, this appears to be an inherent feature of the design of the device.

jszczurek not sure if they can implement a different level of intensity in future updates or not.

But the team have your feedback now and if others in this thread are having issues, sending your specific feedback as well shall help the team know there is a demand for this to be looked into.

I am also having the same problem for calls

So instead of using the ringtones avaible already I simply use normal ringtone. The already avaible ringtones have short vibration sinked with the glyph and the beats of the ringtone. Where as the normal ones vibrate your phone repeatedly for at least 1-2 seconds which was just enough for me

Do Nothing’s developpers come to see this forum ?
Because, even with a ticket opened on this subject and so many people complaining, I don’t see this added to their agenda (releases)

I’m also having the same problem as others have reported. I ride a bike, and when I’m traveling and someone calls me, I don’t even feel the vibration until I reach my destination and check my phone. By then, I may have missed several calls. btw I’m using vibration at maximum intensity and still its very weak.

To the Nothing team,

I purchased a Nothing Phone 2a (A142) two days ago from Flipkart, an Indian e-commerce. Set it up, phone is really fast and all, liking the size of the display and so on….comes the most shocking thing. The VIBRATION of the phone. I missed two calls as I was out and about shopping. Tested thoroughly later, and yeah the vibration on this device is light as a feather. I am talking about INCOMING CALLS and NOTIFICATIONS and not interactive haptics (which I always disable). Comparing even with phones like half its cost, well, I am utterly shocked.

I cannot say whether it’s a really cheap quality motor inside. or the hollow plastic built absorbing most of the haptics, but nonetheless I am extremely disappointed. I have not used any mobile having such faint, almost imperceptible vibration. It’s amongst the most basic things in a mobile phone. I chose your phone over other well established brands because the reviews looked good enough, and I wanted to give a new company a try. But yeah, lesson learnt.
