External card reader support

I shoot a lot of photos with different cameras that use the standard SD cards. Been searching for info if I can use an external card reader to transfer my photos to my P2 pro but can’t find a good source. I’m new to android and have no experience of how plug-and-play things are.

carlsimon when I plugin my usb, I immediately see this popup appear and I’m able to browse the files on it.

It shouldn’t be only charge and support at least usb 2.0 but most of good brands should work

carlsimon I think any USB or SD Card will do, as long as it has a supported file system like FAT32 for example. I don’t have my USB-C card reader at hand, but I expect it to work the same as a USB.
