Feature Suggestion: Universal Search Widget

I’m a fan of Nothing and appreciate your unique approach to tech. I’d like to suggest a feature for Nothing OS—similar to the PowerToys search tool on Windows. It allows users to search apps, files, and the web from a single interface.

A lightweight, fast search widget like this would significantly enhance productivity and user experience on Nothing phones.

This should be implemented in the search bar in the app drawer.

That feature is already there in the app drawer search bar to search app.

An widget will be great so that from the homepage itself we could find any app or file or go to web from one widget it’s so powerful and productive

I agree.

I think this a good suggestion.

I think the search bar should also be capable of extracting information directly from nothing apps and sources to better enhance the experience.

For example, searching for ‘customisation’ or any app of choice; not only could the phone display the most useful settings areas or the app itself, but could show community discussions related to that search, or perform a web search or display items within an app for the user to jump in to quickly.

Coming from an iPhone, a universal search widget like spotlight is one of the things I miss, don’t know if there are good third party. Should be a mix from local apps, contacts, files, web, play store apps, and maybe more.

A good first step is to improve the search on the the apps screen. I have an app from Ikea named home smart, I always forget the name, but I know it’s from Ikea. Searching for “ikea” on the app screen doesn’t show me the app. Same goes for Parental Control from Nintendo, no result when you search for “nintendo”.
