Let’s talk about how the CMF Phone 2 Pro does on the performance side.
I’ve been using it for almost a month now as my daily driver. Let’s dive straight in!
The specs📰
The chipset is the Dimensity 7300 Pro, which, the brand claims, offers a 10% boost on the CPU, and 5% on the GPU, vs the Dimensity 7300 used on the CMF Phone 1.
I tested the 8GB 256GB variant.

Antutu scores,
claimed: 7,10,000
my unit clocked: 6,70,000
The storage,
people have been thrashing the UFS 2.2 ROM, but personally if it doesn’t really bottleneck the overall performance and does the job (which it does), it’s fine.
Daily usage📱
In general usage, it performs well for it’s price. You can find devices with better hardware, but the software optimization is well done here, which does contribute to an overall improved performance.

multitasking,
I switched between multiple apps like social media, YouTube, notes, etc. and it was not impossible, but hard to find a stutter or two.
Here are the app opening speeds for some common apps for reference:
1. YouTube: 1.8s
2. Camera: 1.5s
3. Google: 1.1s
4. Instagram: 1.8s
5. Gallery: 1.3s
The UI feels smooth and responsive, no problems there.

an exception,
The Camera app did feel a little out of place with increased stutters at some points.
This issue has been reported and the team is working on resolving it.
Gaming🎮
I rocked BGMI and Asphalt Legends for a while on the device:
When on the 120FPS in BGMI, the actual frame rate hovered around 90FPS or so. So yeah it’s not really 120 in practice.
That aside, the average of 92FPS that I got was a pretty smooth experience (apart from one or two frame drop points), with no serious heating issues (ambient temp 28°C).
Asphalt is capped at 60FPS, no issues there as well. Got a good 57-60FPS experience.

Overall it does good for most of the gamers out there, unless you’re seriously competitive, you can go for it.
So this was how my CMF Phone 2 Pro performed. If you got any questions, hit ’em up in the comments.
