I’ve recently bought CMF GaN 65W charger along with my Nothing phone (3a). Despite it’s advanced features, I think it lacks a basic safety checks for the consumer. I have encountered an electric shock into my body when my little finger came into contact with the type C pin. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the case when the charger is plugged into upside down (the 3 dots facing the ground, which I found later). I have never seen a company shipping a charger like this. I already sent an email to the support and advised me to go to the nearest Nothing service center. They weren’t able to help my issue as they asked me to use the charger the upside down like I mentioned before as it doesn’t cause electric shock. So according to them it is resolved. I regret buying an expensive charger which lacks basic safety checks for the consumer protection. I have checked the other brands charger and I checked both the ways and it doesn’t cause any electrical issues. I don’t know if every CMF GaN charger is like this or only just mine. If every CMF charger is like this, I would like to get my money refunded back as I cannot compromise the life safety. Can you guys confirm if you face this as well.
I have attached 2 photos of my charger plugged in both the directions and tested with the tester.
