After updating to Nothing OS Pacman-V3.0-250429-1922-IND, I’ve noticed a major downgrade in one of my most-used features — Hidden Apps.

Previously, I could easily hide any app from the app drawer using the “slide right” gesture. This was perfect for keeping my UI clean and hiding sensitive apps I don’t want visible to everyone.

Now, with this new update:

The number of apps I can hide is limited.

Hiding apps now requires a separate password.

Hidden apps are treated like a locked vault, and I can’t even use widgets for those apps anymore.

To be clear: I don’t think the new method is wrong. In fact, the extra security is great for those who want it.

But for users like me, it would be better if:

All apps could still be hidden, not just a few.

We had the option to use the feature without setting up a separate password.

Widgets should work even if the app is hidden.

This update has made apps like:

Google Photos (I prefer people use the Nothing Gallery instead)

Files by Google (contains sensitive files) …fully visible, which compromises my privacy when someone casually uses my phone.

Because of this, I really want to downgrade to the previous version where the hidden apps feature worked perfectly for me.

Does anyone know the official link to download the previous version of Nothing OS before Pacman-V3.0-250429-1922-IND?

Would really appreciate the help.

After this update the phone is lagging, sometimes the screen not responds and it takes around 4 times to click on icons to take action.

hello guys…i installed this update and i had many problems.

before this update there was “app locker” where i put the apps that i used little, including GBoard.

after the update the App Locker has transformed into Privacy Space…the Google keyboard has stopped working because it is hidden…

i had to install another keyboard to be able to access the Privacy Space.

is it possible to delete this Privacy Space and go back to the App Locker? because ALL the apps that are in there do not work anymore!! i would just like to hide the icons that i am not interested in..

This update did’t fixed the quick settings, it’s showing icons time to time, you need to scroll left and right to see the icons.

Is there any change in battery backup? Is it stable? The only reason I am still using OS 2.6 is because of the battery. I heard the battery backup is horrible in OS 3.0

Saddyskib is depend on phone itself, my battery is perfect from day one.

I am using the phone for 10 months with all the new builds.

My nothing 2a is super buggy after the latest update. All the Apps on the home screen disappear while swiping home. Apps crashing, automatically closing while opening and weird animations.

Arjun Suresh Hey mate, I’d consider a backup and factory reset while also logging a bug report via settings > system > feedback. This routes your feedback directly to Nothing who may address it in future updates.

Arjun Suresh I was facing this same issue, set window, transition and animator scale to 1x (in developer options) don’t set on 0.5x.

I am facing issues in slow , buggy and laggy scrolling in YouTube and Instagram. It lagging even when there’s no apps running in the background and my refresh rate is set to hogh which is 120 hz, but it still lags

raviladwal Have you cleared the cache or restarted your smartphone?I haven’t had any problems scrolling. I haven’t had any problems with any app so far.

raviladwal change it to dynamic and most lags will be gone. the 120hz is only for show. they did not bother to optimise it like a gazillion other things on this abomination of a phone.
