Nothing Phone (2) Charging Speeds - Help

I recently bought a 65W Gan i.e pd 3.0+pps chargeing supported charger, before this I had a 30W xiomi charger which was doing well but I wanted to charge my phone at it’s fastest limit, the charger cost me 2550 INR/RS.

But there is a problem,

Whenever I connect this charger to my phone it only charges at 15W but the charger is capable to charge the phone 2 with maximum capacity of 45W i.e nothing phone 2 support maximum 45W of charging.

after restarting the phone the phone charges at 45W for 5 minutes after that the phone stop charging completely, i have to re-apply the charger then it starts to charge but again at 15W ,

Is this a bug or nothing intentionally did this because to sell their official charges costing 4000 rupees (CMF) which I cannot afford.

See in this it is mentioned that other then official charger if the charger supports pd+pss protocol then it is recommended,

So I request nothing to solve this bug ,,,if it is ,,,or remove your unofficial charger blocker and optimise the phone for pps chargers 🙏

VishwanathS_ghante To my knowledge there is many variables that affect charging speed i.e. the socket you’re plugged into, heat of device, battery health, etc. It is very unlikely that Nothing is throttling the charging speed intentionally, if charging speeds are slower than expected there’s probably another reason to consider i.e. battery health protection or, something else.

I’d recommend logging it as feedback via settings > system > feedback and keeping a track of speeds. Maybe even try it in different sockets, etc.

My third-party chargers with PPS charge my CMF1 at 25-28W.

hrry charge cycle:- 200 time, charging heat 30-31 °c (because charging in AC cooling), charger :- LDNIO 65W GAN PD3.0+ PSS charger (phone 2 :- PD:- 20V/3.25A i.e 45W and PPS:- 21V/3.5A i.e 45W supported.

But phone chargeing at 5.05W, taking time 3-3.5 hours for 80% of charging.

Whenever I restart my phone the phone chargers at 40W for 5 min and suddenly charging stop completely, I have to reapply the charging cable, the charging again decrease to 5.05W
