Vibration issue with third-party call apps on Nothing Phone (2)

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing a pretty annoying issue with my Nothing Phone (2), updated to the latest version.

When I set the phone to vibration mode, it only vibrates for regular phone calls using the default ringtone.

All calls from third-party apps (like WhatsApp, Telegram, Ring, etc.) do not trigger any vibration.

If I switch to normal mode (sound on), the ringtone plays, but there’s still no vibration for incoming calls.

Here’s what I’ve already checked:

Notification and vibration settings are correctly configured.

“Do Not Disturb” is not active.

I’ve restarted the phone multiple times.

(maybe due to the Glyph Interface?).

Question:

Is there anyone whose WhatsApp calls do vibrate properly?

It would be great to compare settings or understand if this is a software bug that needs to be reported.

I’d recommend providing OS feedback via your phone’s Settings > System > Feedback option.

Okay, I contacted support and the responses I received were embarrassing.
They were semi-automated and disconnected from the actual issues I raised.
I really hope they were AI-generated—otherwise, the situation is pretty concerning.

I’m asking for your help to run a couple of tests to figure out whether my device is defective or, as I suspect, if it’s a software issue.

My phone only vibrates for calls from the primary SIM (dealer) and for system notifications. No third-party apps are triggering vibrations.
Can someone with an NP2 try this app and see if it vibrates?

When I launch the vibration, I only hear a faint noise, like the vibration motor is trying but can’t spin up.
Is it possible that our phone has two separate vibration motors—one for system apps and one for third-party apps?
