Hello community! I’m back with another All things… and this time it’s probably one of my favourite topics (besides tech ofc) - COFFEE ☕️
Coffee is an essential part of my morning routine, in fact, it’s become an important part of my life ever since I did a training day at a London based roastery, but let me take you back a little for some context…

Once upon a time…
"There lived a man surrounded by beings known as Starbucks, Costa, Caffe Nero, and Pret a Manger (to name a few). Such beings would entice this man into their caves and the servants would deliver beverages known as Lattes, Mochas, Cappuccinos, and Americanos to the said man. He would go on his merry way believing he had just received a glorious cup of coffee, to kick start his day or give an appropriate pick me up throughout the afternoon.
The man was happy living this life, but always felt something missing. That was until he visited a magical kingdom known as a coffee roastery located in East London. Within the said kingdom, his nose was suddenly filled with incredible smells that he’d never experienced before. The wizards within the kingdom taught the man the ways of perfecting coffee through different roasting temperatures, grinding techniques, and brewing methods. A tasting feast concluded the visit and the man suddenly felt whole, he realised that what he had been drinking all his life was a lie and that there was more to coffee than he once knew…"

SHORT STORY
I drank coffee anywhere and thought it was amazing, underwent a training class at a funky, hip roastery in town, and then learned what the good stuff is like.
I’ve now reached pure snobbery and will only drink it outside the house from somewhere that I perceive to be a real coffee shop i.e. not any of the brands I listed above. I’ve been to coffee festivals aplenty, watched various videos, and now own a grinder, bean-to-cup machine, Aeropress, and a V60 to satisfy my many needs, plus an Ember mug to ensure my drink is the perfect temperature and subscribe to a monthly 1kg coffee bean delivery.
Anyway, enough about me 😄
I appreciate everyone has their own opinions, tastes, and ways of making coffee so that’s what I want this thread to be about.
How do you drink coffee? What’s your favourite type of coffee? Do you have any preferred brewing methods? If you don’t drink coffee, why are you even here? (joke alert) but if you are more of a tea drinker or alternative, let’s hear about it 👇️
