Dear Nothing Community “Moderators” / “Admins”,
Recently, I have noticed something very concerning — every post regarding the Nothing Phone 2a bl@st incident and certain posts describing the 2a’s frustrating display problems and other similar issues are being taken down.
I wouldn’t be surprised if even this post gets taken down, and if it does, it really speaks volumes about the so-called “transparency” with the community that Nothing brags about.
Regarding my concern — I have subscribed to new posts for the Nothing Phone (2a) page. When I get the email notification for a new post regarding the mentioned topics, and I click on the link, it takes me to the post’s page on the Nothing Community website. But, it shows “404 Post Not Found”. This happens to every post specifically talking about the 2a’s controversial bl@st incident.
How conveniently that these critiquing posts magically disappear!
This has to either be some sort of automatic moderation where it detects certain keywords like “bl@st” (without the @) and such, or it’s actual forum admins / moderators attempting to cover up Nothing’s critical failures.
I thought this forum was committed to being transparent and open to receive open feedback by the customers?
I myself am a Nothing Phone (2a) user, and slowly I’ve been losing trust with the Nothing company.
I chose Nothing partly because of its commitment to transparency and community-driven growth. But after seeing that they didn’t do anything to provide a hardware replacement fix for the cheap subpar display they gave with the 2a. Most brands would at least offer a hardware replacement or a discount for affected users. But Nothing doesn’t even have an OFFICIAL solution? I appreciate them trying to take software measures to fix the green tint issue, but the “black crush” / “black colour tearing” issue still exists on my device.
Now they straight up try to silence any attempt regarding the controversial bl@st incident? Even their official response to the affected user is pathetic, blaming the user instead of taking responsibility to sort out something to get the issue resolved!
I hope this post stays up and encourages a healthy discussion rather than being buried like the others.
Sincerely,
A concerned Nothing Phone (2a) user.
