Here is my submission for the Nothing Community Project! My design dwells on the topics of AI, parametric design and the development of a stronger sense of community through it.
The proposal incorporates a “cyber-glyph” or “cyber-tattoo” design that would be parametrically generated for each one of the community edition phones, creating a bigger sense of exclusivity and personalization. An algorythm would take inputs such as production date, batch number, serial number, etc. and translate all this data into a one-off visual pattern that would be digitally printed onto the decals of the phone.
This pattern would be able to be scanned with the rear camera in order to access to exclusive information about the phone - like for example, to get to know the workers and designers that worked in the manufacturing of the telephone, expanding the sense of community beyond the consumer.
Electric blue was chosen as a way to reinforce the techy and futuristic feel of the product.
