I wanted to share a quick update and experience regarding a concern I had with my Nothing Phone (3a Pro). A few days ago, I noticed a faint crackling or creaking sound when I slightly pressed around the back or sides of the phone. It wasn’t loud, but definitely noticeable — and enough to make me wonder if it pointed to a bigger issue.
Curious (and a little concerned), I posted about it here in the community to check if anyone else had experienced something similar. I then decided to visit the authorized service center near me to get it looked at, especially since my phone is still under warranty.
Surprisingly, the service center informed me that this was the first time they’ve come across such an issue with this model. They said they’d need to keep the device for at least a day so they could inspect it thoroughly and report it to the company. They assured me that it’s being treated seriously and since it’s under warranty, I should be covered in case anything needs to be addressed or replaced.
If anyone else has noticed a similar creaking or crackling noise, don’t ignore it. It might not seem like a big deal, but it’s worth having it checked — especially while your warranty is still valid. It could be something as simple as minor frame flex or a more specific internal component issue that the company needs to be aware of.
