I saw it updated to 1.2! Congratulations. Does it work with 2a now? (It didn’t work before). Did the team change too?

jimmy_me Hey, yes it works with 2a. Just to confirm may I know what wasn’t working previously so I can confirm. And what were you doing to make it work?

Basically nothing worked on my 2a. Notifications stopped working at all.

i tried Charging indicator: Didn’t work.

i tried changing notification glyphs: Didn’t work.

Other noticable strangeness: When selecting the glyph on the image the glyph might get stuck in the ‘on’ position.

This was with 1.0 and 1.1.

Will try 1.2 later. Thanks!

jimmy_me So let’s resolve your issue. For notifications what did you select and what was not working?

Now regarding charging meter, did you plug in your device and then shake the device when it was charging?

Now regarding changing notifications are you talking about Advanced Essential Notifications

Now regarding glyph remaining ‘on’ did you make sure that glyph doesn’t turn off?

Sorry for asking too many questions. Firstly I need to make sure what’s going wrong to fix it so I can properly fix the issue and I don’t have 2a so I am unable to test it as well

I just tried the new version and now the app can’t fetch any apps besides Chrome…?

i guess I’ll wait for some more updates. sorry I cant help

EDIT: I uninstalled and restarted the phone then reinstalled. This seems to have solved the issue.

I can report now that the charging works with shaking. But the LED only shows for about 1.5 seconds. Is there any way to increase its duration or make it permanent? Or remove the shake requirement? Its quite awkward with the cable attached.

jimmy_me Yes I can increase the time from about 1 second. But I thought 1 second would be better. And I can make permanent as well but this will consume lot of battery that’s why didn’t do this. And regarding 3rd request of removing the shake requirement, if I remove the shake requirement how o you want to access the charging meter?

Perhaps the charging meter just works when the phone is plugged in and turned face-down?

I think the ‘essential’ notifications ahould ‘breath’ slowly (slowly fade in and out).

I tested aome notifications on the 2a now.

it doesn’t seem possible to use the smaller ‘south-west’ glyph at all?
The notification only works for a single glyph and removes the previous notification: e.g. You set 1 notification for whatsapp on the large ‘eastern’ glyph and a notification for instagram on the large ‘North-Western’ glyph. Then, for example instagram triggers a notification. This will work. Then whatsapp triggers a notification. It will temove one glyph and just ahow the second notification.

Thank you for your detailed feedback about the app. Regarding the charging meter it works only when plugged in but it’s not needed to be face down. If it’s faced up and you do it will work. The only condition now is it should be plugged in. Regarding Advanced Essential Notifications breathing slowly I can do that for other phones but not for phone 1 because of I implement that to phone 1 glyphs doesn’t turn off. That’s a glyph related bug. And that is already there when you click a glyph. I think you didn’t check that but not for phone 1 due to that bug. Also can you mention what you mean by south west glyph? For Advanced Essential Notification you can choose any glyph and it will work. Also a glyph removing when app from another notification comes is not from my side. On their GitHub it’s mentioned when second is toggled on the first one will be turned off. Check screenshot below

Hey guys,
Those who have not installed this app kindly install it. More interesting things coming up like:
1. Custom button for the AI suggestions so you can set Custom one for each app instead of the 5 shown
2. New features for each phone in OS option
3. Giving the option to set Advanced Essential Notifications for a particular contact or a particular group
4. Settings to allow to change for N-Dot to N-type and vice versa and also from Dark theme to light theme and vice versa
And more interesting things coming up. And if you have any feedback feature requests please give here or using the feedback form in the app itself. So stay tuned for more interesting things coming up. And I will keep you posted here itself

Vishwam How do I enable the charging meter feature on my 2a? I downloaded the app, but I always keep the glyph lights off anyway because I think I have some glitch. It involves the lights going off for no reason when I’m not getting any notifications or anything of the sort. It just randomly flashes, so I figured it would be easier to keep them off all the time, but your app seems interesting, so I want to see if it will work now. Anyways, if you do have any suggestions to fix my ongoing problem, then please do advise me 🙏 Thanks!

ArjunKrishnan_eIl1qdWR75 Hey, first of all thank you for installing my app. And secondly to enable charging meter in your phone 2a you would have to go to the OS option in Others category. And also for your random flashes do you have something running n your phone which can trigger glyphs? Or did you contact Nothing support regarding this?

nottoday Hey, I am aware about this. And for now I deliberately did this. I will remove this soon and shift to a new way for better user experience. And this only shows when my app is opened. If the app is closed or only running in background this popup won’t appear
