Is NP2 Outdated in 2k25

I have recently heard from many nothing phone 2 users stating that on hardware level the phone doesn’t stand out or feel premium with its other varients like 2a, 1 etc, just having an extra glyph. Regardless of the launch of 3a, 3a pro and the upcoming 3 the phone 2 holds the the company’s current flagship model until the release of 3, still keeping aside OS experience the phone is no longer be able to called a flagship for a price of 40k + . I have been using the NP2 for months and I feel there is been a drag in the update section that maintains the balanced performance of the phone. I would like to know how others feel (if their NP2 is been outdated in this year even before the next flagship phone’s release or is it a users perspective matters on the phone?)🤔

CYPHER_LYNX I suggest don’t go with any nothing phones at all the hardware of all nothing phones are bad I use 2a and it has display problems and network issues 2 of my friends has phone 1 and 2 phone 1 has mother issues he has changed ic chip 2 times while phone 2 got green line after a year of purchase and company is providing only 10% discount

Ye it does. I bought 2 about a year after the release at a price of about 550€. Of course, first impressions after a so-so device do their job. The phone seemed incredible. The only thing that didn’t suit me right away was the vibration (Grateful that it was improved at least a little with the 3.0 release). A little more than six months have passed. After dozens of updates, improvements, fixing old bugs and adding new ones lol, I can confidently say that I don’t regret not buying it earlier. The way the device is performing now fully justifies the money I paid for it. At the same time, I feel sorry for the people who bought 2 at release. I really like Nothing, I like their products, but bruh, the phone 2 is not worth the money they charged for it at launch. Yes, Nothing is a young brand, they need money to develop, but users trust also has a great value. I haven’t lost it yet, and I want to finally decide whether to trust them or not after buying phone 3 straight after release

I’m also a nothing 2 user .Really disappointed with the phone’s performance and lack of optimisation. Even we didn’t receive February security update. After new launches ,nothing team almost forgot us.

FerozeHakeem quite true. Gaming performance has declined so much. Games like efootball and COD warzone cant be played on high graphics. My earlier realme device with SD 870 never dropped frames while playing games. Not so with Phone 2 with a superior chipset with SD 8+ Gen 1. It’s been a year but they haven’t fixed the optimisation with these games. Now I am looking forward to replacing this device with another one.

FerozeHakeem we get bimonthly updates not monthly and yes nothing’s optimisation sucks the only thing is people don’t get it that nothing is worst in optimisation on phone 2 and phone 1 both have been like worst after 2 years

FerozeHakeem Opposite for me, Phone 2 has had great performance and is optimized excellent. Its just as smooth as my Pixel 9 or OP13. In fact I think its smoother than my Pixel 9. I’m not obsessed with monthly updates, if I get an update every few months I’m fine. Phone 2 is still faster than the 3A or 3A pro so I’m happy :-)

Actually nothing phone 2 doesn’t perform like a flagship series.It has the most performer chipset nothing ever released and everything is advanced tech before 3a series.Even 3a series currently released stand below nothing 2 for the specs exept camera.

But on software side the phone is lagging.After 3.0 update,battery performance is on lower side and serious connection problems.Overheating and poor camera output especially in night makes the owners feel ashamed infront of several other phones.

As a nothing 2 owner,I don’t regret buying this on the first place because I choose this.Some updates back our np 2 was better than the current update.I seriously hope nothing team will adress the issues with the hardware and software harmony before the update promise meet an end.

They called it Flagship!!, but now it’s seems like they totally forgot NP2 in the hype of 3a,3a pro and ofc 3, sad reality 😓

Hi, I don’t think the Nothing Phone (2) is outdated and don’t really know why people are getting this idea. In terms of performance, it still is the best phone Nothing has to offer, it also is the only one which has an optional 512 gigs of memory. It also features wireless charging, something the other models are lacking.

In terms of updates, it just got Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.0 a week before christmas, so that major update isn’t even three months old by now and it got another small update back in January. Nothing only does bimonthly security updates with all their phones and isn’t on a fixed schedule, so the next update should arrive sometime this month. That’s the case with all of their phones. The only time they are (much) more frequent with updates is for new phones, which usually get multiple updates within the first few months.

Of course it is lacking a telephoto camera, but that was known right from the start. It’s also lacking eSIM support, something which the 3a Pro introduces as the first Nothing Phone with this feature and I’m pretty sure the Phone (3) will also have eSIM.

NP2 was Outdated just after it was launched, because users are askg for camera update since launch but there is no one to listen them.
