QR Code scanner in the camera app

Would be nice to have. Hate using a separate app just for scanning them

Is it not integrated? 😲 I thought Nothing’s motto was to “create a seamless digital future.” At this time, switching to Nothing OS from other mobile operating systems is taking a step backwards from that.

Fingers crossed it won’t be long before QR code scanning is integrated.

sean (1) yup. I agree. Not integrated on my phone 1 at least. Well, it’s a startup so let’s not be too harsh, they cannot think of everything, but i’d for sure say that these small quality of life features make a big difference for people that are not tech-inclined.

It this possible if the Gcam is downloaded? I know Gcam supports QR scanning. but would love to see it officially integrated into the Nothing Cam

This is coming in android 13 i believe correct me if i am wrong

And also if you have scanner app it will be showing in quick settings when you drop down the notification bar

I noticed with my phone(1) that when I opened the camera it didn’t react to the QR code I was pointing it at - however I hit the Google lens button and then it worked for me (if others can try and let us know your findings!)

There is a Google lens when you open the camera app, on the left side of camera shutter icon. It’s very convenient.
