On YouTube this phone struggles to play 2160 50 fps. Even when phone is on wifi. Also same problem sometimes in 1440 50 fps . I have blue edition. Is this the differenting factor between nothing phone 2a & nothing phone 2 because other phones like OnePlus Nord ce4 plays this setting very smoothly. Kindly fix this. We want better content viewing experience. And nothing is all about better experience. Even iPhone doesn’t has this problem in all his model then how come nothing has this as this brand considers iphones as competition who give exact experience be it any model.

I’m not sure about the problem itself, but 2a is certainly not at the same level of Phone (2). Phone (2) is (for now) the flagship of Nothing, which means it has the best specs. 2a is more of a mid-range phone, so you can’t really compare it to an iPhone, since it isn’t fair.

I checked it on phone 2, working smoothly. 2160p 60 fps, 1440p 60 fps, 2160p 120 fps. No stuttering at all. Just received an YouTube app update, so try it once and let us know if the issue is solved or not. Sometimes we need to clear app data in the YouTube to solve HDR and stuttering issue. I did it just after A14 update. From then not required.

even though the discussion is a bit old, I would like to join in on the problems. I also have constant stuttering when playing YouTube videos on my 2a and it is very annoying. The problem really cannot be blamed on the performance of the processor, because the CPU was released in 2023 in a modern process. Could someone please address this problem?
