I hope this is not breaking any rules, but I want to share my critical opinions on the event too, now that this thread has become the place to do so.
Basically, the event felt like nothing. I’m not trying to make a witty pun here (well, maybe I am), but watching the stream felt really unrewarding and boring, just like the smartphone market is at the moment.
The mysterious logo clearly showcased what will be the transparent back of the phone(1) with the camera being on the top left, a slash flash sitting right next to it, a wireless charging pad being in the center of it and perhaps a centered USB port on the bottom. So basically… just the usual smartphone?
Don’t get me wrong here, I obviously hope that I’m wrong and that nothing will surprise us (I’m talking about the brand, not literally nothing), but if all we are getting is an aesthetic android phone with some fancy ear(1) pairing animations like Apple has, this is nothing to hype up as much, as it was.
