eduardo976095 Hello, I want to know if I change the ROM and then go back to the original, will I still have the warranty?
Remi F eduardo976095 installing a custom means that you have unlock the bootloader. And this does indeed break your warranty. So no
landak Remi F I’m pretty sure this is a strong function of where you live. The standard consensus (backed by the courts) is that in the EU the statutory warranty applies irrespective of how you use your phone; see e.g. https://piana.eu/root/ (or, relatedly, the settlement in a case about bootloader unlocking – https://www.androidauthority.com/asus-bootloader-unlock-settlement-3431818/)
xnmoll Remi F i am pretty sure other than samsung’s know there is no other brand with such hardware bootloader lock that won’t go back to stock locked state so apart from sammy boi yes it remains under warranty if you manage to not brick it and lock the bootloader again with stock nothing os?
Anonymous297 it depends on device I guess. Samsung has ‘Knox e-fuse’ that triggers when you root or install custom roms.
