Hello the Nothing India Team,
I hope you’re all doing well. I’m writing as an enthusiastic Nothing Phone 2a owner to express a bit of concern over the delayed arrival of Nothing OS 3.1 (and the anticipated 3.2) on our devices. While we appreciate your commitment to quality:
Staged rollouts and testing cycles It’s been noted that Nothing adheres to a roughly two-month update cadence, which helps ensure stability and a smooth experience, but in practice Phone 2a users have yet to see February’s security patch or the 3.1 feature release .
Prioritization of newer models Recent updates (Nothing OS 3.1) have started rolling out to the Phone 3a and 3a Pro, suggesting that newer series are receiving priority access before older models like the 2a .
Could you kindly clarify:
1. What specific factors (e.g., additional hardware validation, resource allocation, or unforeseen bugs) are contributing to the hold-up for the Phone 2a?
2. When might we realistically expect the Nothing OS 3.⅓.2 updates to arrive on our 2a devices?
Additionally, as Google plans its public Android 16 release in June 2025, could you share your projected timeline for bringing Android 16 to the Phone 2a? Early community discussions suggest this may not land until late 2025 or even early 2026 .
Thank you for your ongoing dedication to the Nothing ecosystem. Your insight into these update schedules will help us remain confident in our choice and plan our upgrade paths accordingly.
With appreciation and respect,
A Concerned Phone 2a Enthusiast
