Ideas for Glyphs

I was looking towards the Glyphs and trying to set up different combinations, However I had a couple questions:

1: Can I set multiple glyphs for Notifications? I would like for Discord another glyph as for my E-mail. In that way if I am socializing I know what sent me a message and weigh importance.

2: Is it possible to set up which light keeps burning after a notification? When I get a notification set with glyphs. The top right stays on, which is great! However it would be great if I could get an additional layer. That f.e. on specific notifications the 2 glyphs arround the camera stays on or maybe even every light. This would create a layer of urgency for me in my notifications.

Can we create Glyphs with standard ‘audios’. I enjoy the glyphs, however I am not too great composing or the sounds dont match the lights. Adding another audio under a composed glyph would therefore be great

1 and 2 are not possible till now, and for 3 you can use the music visualization feature for lighting the glyphs when a song is played but you cannot set it with a ringtone till now. Hope I answered your questions. Save a contact name Alakazam to start your music visualization feature.

How about using the potential of Glyphs more?

For example, if I am making a phone call, a segment could “breathe” or glow. Similarly, when using the camera, the segment around the camera could glow.

etc. More flex with Glyph please :-D

Let share our thoughts on what functionality ideas we have for glyph lights

Allow users to use charging indicator and meter as a notification lights to indicate notification from specific app or a missed call notification.

Same for camera ring and center zone lights.

Make red light blink on shutter means the photo is clicked so the subject gets an update.

There are multiple section of lights.

Each part can be linked to a particular contact where it will glow up when we get a missed call, WhatsApp or any social media.

So a total of 10 favourite contacts can be used as phone 2 has 10 parts.

Similarly different for phone 1 and 2A.

The alarm rings in the morning and you snooze it and the glyph begins to light up slowly until the end of the snooze count, perhaps with the G glyph lighting up as the deadline time approaches. I think it would be possible

The rear LEDs are most likely mapped in the sense that they have well x and y coordinates with a value of 0 and 1 on and off and they could also have a lumen intensity.

Will it be possible to insert simple symbols or even words into the contacts to scroll along the LED profiles when a call or message arrives, as if they were an LCD, would it be possible?

So,I was thinking ,just like how calling gets an option to light up the glyph differently when you set it up for a particular contact,maybe messaging apps could get that too. I mean essential notification is good but having a different set of sound and glyph for different contacts just adds to the goal of nothing-minimum interaction with your device.

Sorry for my poor English, I’ll try my best to be clear.

Would it be possible to add a concert mode to the “music visualization” , currently the option is using the glyph interface when outputting music from the phone only. This option would do the same but instead of using the audio output, it would use the audio Input/microphone.

Nobody has nowadays lighter as we used to have a few years ago and this option would be fancier than just turn on the torch (which provide too much light in concert) or just turn the glyph on (without the blinking on the rhythm of the music).
